Doesn’t recognize my old A1469 Apple TV streaming device – Apple TV Remote Review

When the app is loaded and run, it immediately locks up on a mostly blank page that says “Add Apple TV Don’t see what you’re looking for? Make sure you’re on the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV” Of course I the streaming device is working just fine on the same wifi as my Iphone.
