Software update support team is non-responsive – Avenza Maps: Offline Mapping Review

I have been using variations of this product for nearly 8 years. Last year, when I attempted to catalog modified versions of the USGS 7.5x7.5 topo maps for Colorado, detailing game management unit boundaries for hunting, I reported a flaw in how the app presents the order in which available maps from iTunes file sharing is presented in the upload dialogue window. The software developers for the app were convinced that the list of available maps appeared in alpha-numerical order, to which I provided them proof that this is not correct, and that the list has no particular order. When someone only has a few maps in their library, this would not normally be a problem; however, management of larger map collections becomes unnecessarily frustrating, causing some maps to have multiple instantiations loaded and others to be overlooked. My original correspondence with the developers led me to believe that this problem would be addressed shortly. Six weeks after my initial report of the problem and following two updates (Jul 2019), they reported that the problem had yet to be assigned for work off. Here we are, 8 months after my initial complaint, and the problem still exists. It would seem that the company would like to avoid having poor reviews of their product by being more responsive to problems as simple as providing a sort function in a file list. This is not the case though, and the company appears to have no moral objection collecting annual fees from their customers and ignoring simple software fixes.
