Worst booking experience – Trip.com: Book Flights, Hotels Review

This is the worst booking company ever. I booked my flight from LED to SFO with a two hour stop in Paris, as a single flight. They send me the reservation, the tickets and none of that stated that I would need a French visa. Given the short stop, it seems plausible. On the day of departure I learn at the check in counter that I am not admitted to the flight, because I have no visa. Okay, I decided to return the ticket. The ticket from Paris to Los Angeles is with Norwegian, and has a "Flex" category. This means that in the case of no-show it will be refunded, and can also be cancelled beforehand. Norwegian says since Trip.com bought the ticket for me, I cannot cancel it, only Trip.com can. I called Trip.com, and they refused to cancel and refund the ticket. Are they going to just get my refund and pass none of the money over to me?
