Why does a new game turn off podcast? – Blocks Mania Puzzle: Candy crossy block - Addictive 10/10 maze game Review

I love playing this game while listening to a podcast or audiobook. But it drives me crazy that it turns off the podcast or book each time I start up a new game. Is there some way to stop it? I’d be happy to pay for the app. Thank you.
