Terrible Customer Service / Unauthorized Overcharging – DriveNow Carsharing Review

I got this app along with the Car2Go app, so I could use it in Germany ( Hamburg). After locating a vehicle and beginning my trip, a low tire pressure light came on. When I called to notify customer service, I was told to locate another vehicle. I had to backtrack to another vehicle, which wasn’t even where it was supposed to be parked. It took over an hour to find the other vehicle, with my kids waiting at the house. When I finally found it ( not at all on the street it was supposed to be on!), guess what? The low tire pressure light was in in this vehicle, too. There was a lot of activity on my account by the rep during this time, that was supposed to cancel the original ride with the previous vehicle to adjust the fee and set up a one day (24 hour) rental again so I can have transportation to the airport the next day. She set it up in a way that would not allow me to lock the vehicle when I parked it, and I was charged BY THE HOUR, INSTEAD OF THE DAY RATE!! I ENDED UP BEING CHARGED OVER $100 extra!!! I tried repeatedly to reach a supervisor to fix this, but they refused to provide me a name or time that I would receive a return call. I was told that the supervisor was out to lunch or in a meeting, and there was no other staff person to address this mess with. It was COMPLETELY LAME!! My only recourse was disputing the charge with my credit card company....I think this is probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced. It was convenient all the times before that, but I would not rely on this company’s app if I really needed truly reliable transportation.
