Good but could be improved to be great. – Light Meter Free Review

Light Meter Free works well enough. I bought all the other light meter aps and kept this one. Cost me .99 cents to get rid of the ads on the free version. Would have bought the developer a pint if there was a button to make the "tips" go away. I'm a pro photographer and want a simple clear meter. (on an iPhone 4s) Pros: Shows the biggest photo behind the exposure values of any metering app. Two exposure values can be locked and stay locked and set even if you turn it off and on again. (I lock ISO and f22 and it gives me a shutter reading) EV can be adjusted +/- 3 stops on the settings screen to emulate a filter factor, or adjust over or under exposure. Aperture AV or Shutter Priority TV modes. Screen image can be held/frozen by taping. Clear numbers and easy to set. Cons/improvements: Needs a switch to turn off the "tips" Would be great if the exposure data window was even smaller allowing more photo behind. Don't need EV value AND shutter+aperture so I'd like to turn one or the other off and have more room on screen. Dreams: Button to make meter/preview image Black & White (wow that would be great- previewing for black and white film photographers) Add a single-button one-second metronome for long exposures and you've got the best meter app around. Add the compass direction the camera is facing... that would be cool. Have a single button at the top to capture the screen to the photo album that uses location services to tag the location of the photo for later reference.
