Indispensable app! – Forest Maps 2 Review

I initially downloaded this app a few months ago because I go out into the woods often and don’t hike on trails. In the beginning, I didn’t have the option to create a track, which was ok, in a sense, because just having the detailed map was more than what I had before. (I have the app on my iPad which has cell capabilities so it connects to GPS.) Then one day, I noticed that I DID have the option in the toolbar along the bottom to create tracks and download maps, which was fantastic! That was incredibly useful and I encouraged the forest conservancy that I volunteer with to download and use this app over what they were using. About a month later, I went to the woods, pulled out my iPad to start creating a track but the option to do so was gone! Frustrating, to say the least. I contacted the developer and explained the problem. He gave me suggestions to try and get the options back, although none of them worked. He then provided a code to redeem to upgrade to the premium version because of the trouble I had with the app. Overall, I can’t say enough good things about this app and the service I was given by this developer!! It’s such a relief to have encountered such great service when a problem arose! Thank you for your help and for a great app that may save my life one day!
