Clone your Git repo into iCloud – Textastic Code Editor Review

This is a fantastic application that allows you to do computer programming on the iPad. Paired with a Smart Keyboard and iCloud on a macOS device, you can accomplish many tasks in an Xcode project, like cleaning up code, adding comments, or writing basic functions. The app supports Swift, Objective-C and Java syntax highlighting, in addition to web languages. 1. The best way to use this app is to clone your Git repo into iCloud using macOS. 2. Open the Git repo from Textastic in iOS under the iCloud folder. 3. Write code in Textastic for iOS and save to the iCloud folder. 4. Go on your Mac with Git and commit the changes to the iCloud folder when you’re ready. Using this method, and an Apple Smart Keyboard with iPad Pro 10.5, I’m able to write code for a few hours in bed, then commit my changes using my Macbook Air. For Optimal UX Use: - Theme: Black - Code Editor Theme: Blackboard - Dark Keyboard - Font: Source Code Pro - Font Size: 15pt
