Lack of due notice for substantial change – FP Notebook Review

There are ways to go about starting a subscription service. Forcing a splash screen without disclosure to users, instead just vaguely stating “sdk update” is shady practice. To the developer: read your reply. It doesn’t address my comments. This is not about why you need to move to a subscription service. This is not about the cost. It is how you handled it. What you should do is pull the current version, put the older free version back in the app store, and make an announcement about your intent to charge for subscription on next update. I used to recommend this app to my colleagues, as well as residents and medical students. I don’t feel comfortable recommending it now, after this questionable practice.
