Great Rendition of Rampart – Zen Wars Review

This is a very good update. Unlike most updates, this one improved the game. The legendary mode is fun and they allowed you to turn off the music in game. (although I usually have the sound off anyway.) It took me over 100 rounds to defeat the dragon on the last level in Legendary mode. Unfortunately, I was not give the achievement for completing the Legendary mode. The only other thing I would like, would to be able to turn off the music in the menu screen and for the game not to freeze up whenever I get a phone call or battery low alert. That said, the games uncanny ability to save your progress, is fantastic. The new interface for controls isn't any better or worse than the old way, but I use the new interface as it seems the update may have made the old controls method a tad less responsive. Really, a lot of thought has gone into the design of this app. All in all, this is an exceptional rendition of the classic arcade game Rampart. ---- Essentially Rampart for the iPhone. This is a game I loved in the day. It is like Tetris, but making castles instead of dropping random blocks. It is pretty fun. (Stategy Tip: don't be afraid to blow up your own walls, especially as the game wears on, and you are only receiving big ugly blocks. ) Only problem so far, is that there is no one playing multiplayer globally. The survival and campaign modes are a lot of fun. Nice app. Worth 0.99. I hate paying much more than that for apps though.
