Don’t need it and don’t recommend it – Ulysses Mobile Review

I was unhappy with the the new pricing model, because the cost seemed out of line with the value I perceived. I looked at what combination of tools for writing and storing information I actually used and enjoyed using. It turned out that Ulysses was in last place in a collection of six or more editors. The hierarchical organization is not a good fit for me, as it just slows everything down. With other Markdown editors having implemented folders and hashtags, the Ulysses document model looks increasingly idiosyncratic. I’m amused by people who pretentiously differentiate between “simple Markdown editors” and Ulysses. I write professionally, mostly in LaTex. Ulysses does not handle LaTex equations well, but several “simple editors” do. Ulysses seems needlessly complicated and expensive for what it does.
