No longer supported – XFINITY TV Remote Review

While you can use this app to browse the TV listings, movies, etc you cannot use the app to change to the show/movie any more. My app would tell me either that I had no devices available or that I needed to upgrade to the XFi package. As a premiere XFi customer the latter message was incorrect. After a long troubleshooting session involving logging out and back into the app, deleting and reinstalling the app, device reboots, ... on both my iPhone and Android tablet... I was escalated to the app tech team. They asked more questions and then left to go ask someone else. Finally they came back with the answer that they stopped supporting that app. I ask why that hasn’t been communicated to customers or their support personnel and they said they would communicate when the new app was ready. Yeah, real nice! Sort of like how they communicated that they were replacing Cinemax with Flix. (After the fact)
