Great idea! – BandMate: Concert Tipster Review

Sort of like Last.fm for concert listings -- the recommendations help to narrow down the listings, and some suggestions are better than others. The nice part is that all you need to do is watch a video, or listen to a few tunes, or just read about the band to learn a bit about them. And all that stuff is right there. I find it really handy when traveling. I like to plan ahead, so it's nice that you can also just punch in the name of the city you're headed to and you get the events for that town. And since you can set the search area to anywhere from 1 mile to a 150 miles, it's pretty practical for both times when I have a car and other times when I''m looking for stuff that's going on close to where I'm staying. I've been using it for a few months now and it's been really reliable. I've found some pretty sweet new bands.
