BandMate recommends live music events based on what you listen to. Find out when your favorite band is playing and, better yet, when your next favorite band is playing!
BandMate also let's you know when the bands you'll like have upcoming releases, so you can keep your music collection fresh!
BandMate uses the artists already on your device to suggest other bands you might like as well. It then searches through event listings in the city of your choice to create a personalized calendar of the shows that you'd want to see and the new albums you'll want to check out.
Each item even includes a score letting you know how strong the recommendation is.
And if you don't have the time to scan through listings, just pop on your earphones and Bandmate will generate a playlist for all your artists with upcoming shows in your town.
BandMate also gives you all the tools you need to find out more about each artist. BandMate makes it easy to:

Not really but this is an awesome app that I check at least once a week. It's helped me find concerts that I normally would've missed and opened my eyes to new bands I hadn't heard of. If you're a big concert-goer this is a must download.

Sort of like Last.fm for concert listings -- the recommendations help to narrow down the listings, and some suggestions are better than others. The nice part is that all you need to do is watch a video, or listen to a few tunes, or just read about the band to learn a bit about them. And all that stuff is right there. I find it really handy when traveling. I like to plan ahead, so it's nice that you can also just punch in the name of the city you're headed to and you get the events for that town. And since you can set the search area to anywhere from 1 mile to a 150 miles, it's pretty practical for both times when I have a car and other times when I''m looking for stuff that's going on close to where I'm staying. I've been using it for a few months now and it's been really reliable. I've found some pretty sweet new bands.

It has listings for about 10 concerts in my area for each artist on my iPod. Incorrect lineups and glitchiness.

Best ap I've found for seeking live music at home and when I travel. Only wish it did periodic seeks of music in an id'd locale and sent updates on shows.
