I'm confused – Pet Names: Top Names for Pets Review

I have a question. I'm not trying to be annoying or anything like that, I totally respect this app it's just what's the point of it? When I got it I thought it was going to help me pick out a name for my pet but then it said "unlock the 1000 names!" So I'm confused.
