Did Misfit go out of business? – Misfit Review

I see the app hasn’t been updated in over a year, and to say it’s been working poorly these past few months (as of June 2019) - would be an understatement! I got my Shine when they first launched via Kickstarter, and have worn it daily ever since. Love the look, the lightweight material and unobtrusive design... but the app isn’t syncing properly anymore, I can’t make features work that USED to work (like choosing my activity such as cycling to steps to swimming, and/or syncing to other apps). I guess they’ve abandoned the app, if not shut down the company entirely. What a shame! This was truly a great device! And as usual Apple doesn’t let people know when an app is defunct, or if a company is just gone altogether. I really hope nobody buys anymore Misfit devices if they’re actually closed down (their website hasn’t worked in a week now). Now what will we do? More crap to throw into the landfill? So disappointed! I loved the waterproof feature, the sleep tracking, AND the ability to change activity on the fly. Who else does that, at THIS price point? Nobody.
