Why the auto questing? – Era of Celestials Review

I’ve only had the game for and hour or two but it’s been great so far, usually games of this style lose my interest very quickly but this has kept it. My only problem is the auto questing, what is the point of it, why is it so necessary In games like this can anyone explain it to me.
