Not bad. – Nailed It Review

It's a pretty decent app. Basically, it's tangrams with falling physics. One thing I have to say is that the controls are a bit awful. In order to place your pieces down, you need to "nail it" down with the hammer button. Occasionally, the screen will scroll up after tapping the hammer button, which causes the piece to be nailed where you don't want it to be, or a piece will fall down, interrupting you. Also, the levels are pretty picky on deciding to give you a good score. You have to be near exact and use less nails as possible. However, the instructions are very general, and only tells you how to play the game. There are barely any tips on how to use less nails, and such stuff like that. One thing I have to say though is that this game does heavily influence another app, the Angry Birds and the Angry Bird side-games, a lot. The interface is very similar to the one in the Angry Bird games. The menus look a like, the menu layouts are comparable, and there is a foreshadow where the developer will add new levels soon. When beginning level 1, you get to see a cutscene, which is basically 1 big picture, where the screen scrolls to the next part of the picture to tell the story. It's nearly the same how the Angry Bird games (at least, the original one) tell their story for each world. Also, the way you are scored for each level is through 1-3 "skulls", similar to the 1-3 star rating for each level in the Angry Birds games. For a not-as-known app, it sure does a pretty good job mimicking Angry Birds (in terms of interface and story. The gameplay for this and the Angry Birds game are completely different FYI). Overall, it's not bad. It's going somewhere with this game. A few problems fixed and a little more marketing would make this app satisfying to download and play.
