“OK” BTC Wallet... – Xapo Review

I’ve had Xapo since 2017, so a little over 2 years now. Back then Xapo didn’t require account verification in order to create an account and receive/send BTC. So over the 2 years I’ve invested a few thousand into bitcoin and I’ve been storing it on my Xapo account. But everything changed a few days ago, I randomly received an email informing me that “verify your account in the following days otherwise your account will be locked”, and I knew that wouldn’t work for me being that the account was created over two years ago when their ToS didn’t require verification. So I rushed over to my Xapo account, withdraw all of my BTC from my Xapo vault (which takes 48 hours! I was nervous my account would be shutdown/locked before I could withdraw my bitcoin from the Xapo vault), and transfer it all to my new Coinbase wallet. That was pretty scary, knowing at ANY moment Xapo could lock my account and steal all of my Bitcoin. ****EVERYONE, PAY ATTENTION**** Do not use Xapo as your BTC wallet, there is a high chance that there ToS will change in the future and try to lock you out of your account for any reason they can come up with. USE COINBASE. ALL THE STRESS I GOT FROM USING XAPO INSTANTLY WENT AWAY WHEN I TRANSFERRED ALL OF MY BTC INTO A GOOD AND TRUSTED BTC WALLET (COINBASE).
