Frustrated RVer – Garmin Smartphone Link Review

This app is missing the basic feature of manually entering an address and send it to the navigator. The bought a Garmin Navigator, because I thought the mobile phone app would let my wife “my co-pilot” to send an address she manually entered into the Garmin Smart Link to the Navigator. This is feature would be really handy since she is the one doing the navigation while I’m concentrating on driving. As of now you can only send an address you found in Four Square or the address book. Besides adding the ability to manual enter an address into the Smart Link and send it to the navigator, it would be nice to be able to click on an address found on the iPhone or iPad’s web browser and have a choice to send it to the Garmin navigator. It would also be nice if Garmin had a trip planer app for a iPad, which would allow a trip to be planed using the large tablet screen, then send to the Garmin navigator. The navigator screen is too small to effectively plan a trip. Also is makes more since for the “co-pilot” have the ability to edit a trip plan, while traveling. - I would pay a for this feature. I would also be willing to pay a monthly feed for if trip planner was really good for planning and saving trips.
