Has potential. Refinements needed. – Back Alley Review

Back Alley is a classic partnership trick-taking card game that combines skill and luck. However, this iOS version is NOT a partnership game - you're on your own. It is also not an online multi-player game you can play with friends. What it IS is a pretty good representation of the card game If you were only playing in single player mode, you had bad eyeglasses, and you had trouble handling cards. My biggest complaint is that the animation moves too fast such that you don't get a very good sense of who led out, who took the trick, or how the general sequencing of the game is proceeding. Every hand seems to kind of happen all at once. You want to say "hey wait a second - what just happened?!" Suggestions: -Slow game play down -Represent who led to the trick. -Leave the trick on the "table" until you, as the player say to proceed. -Show trick-taking status -Make it easier to grab cards -Fix "bug" that apparently prevents the big blooper from pulling the highest trump from other player's hands when led to a trick. This is a key rule of the game but currently, other players can "cheat" by holding their highest trump even though they should have played it. These changes along with the suggestions offered in the other reviews would make this more enjoyable. Good initial effort though.
