The game is a mix of euchre and spades. The goal is to win tricks each hand, but you have to bid how many you think you can win. The more accurate your bid, the more points you receive. The game starts with 7 cards dealt to each player, and will progressively deal down to 1 card per player, then deal all the way back up to 7 cards per player. The goal is simple, get the most points before all the hands are played. For more detailed rules download the app! or you can go out to our website at the support url below.

This game really has it all, multiple CPU levels, statistics, and the ability to save and return later to resume your game.

Nice Concept

I like the overall concept of this game, however there are a few things that need tweaking. 1. Let me see throughout the game what each player has bid/taken. 2. It's hard to grab cards that are in the corner and behind other cards. 3. The artificial intelligence will sometimes play a lower "trump" after higher trump has been cut, if it's their only trump (even on hardest setting). 4. Game glitches if interrupted by another app. 5. Sharper graphics would be a plus. I'm not trying to harp, I actually like the game quite a bit. Just trying to get it improved :)

Has potential. Refinements needed.

Back Alley is a classic partnership trick-taking card game that combines skill and luck. However, this iOS version is NOT a partnership game - you're on your own. It is also not an online multi-player game you can play with friends. What it IS is a pretty good representation of the card game If you were only playing in single player mode, you had bad eyeglasses, and you had trouble handling cards. My biggest complaint is that the animation moves too fast such that you don't get a very good sense of who led out, who took the trick, or how the general sequencing of the game is proceeding. Every hand seems to kind of happen all at once. You want to say "hey wait a second - what just happened?!" Suggestions: -Slow game play down -Represent who led to the trick. -Leave the trick on the "table" until you, as the player say to proceed. -Show trick-taking status -Make it easier to grab cards -Fix "bug" that apparently prevents the big blooper from pulling the highest trump from other player's hands when led to a trick. This is a key rule of the game but currently, other players can "cheat" by holding their highest trump even though they should have played it. These changes along with the suggestions offered in the other reviews would make this more enjoyable. Good initial effort though.

Good game

Need to fix winning percentage on stats screen. It stays at 0 when I won plenty of games. Partnership and multiplayer would be nice. With those features fixed and added along with Gamecenter, this would be a 5 star. Add these and I will be back to update this review.

Needs improvements

The game itself is fun, but the cards are played WAY too fast. You can't tell who led. It is very hard to play your card. The box is too little and it keeps rejecting the card unless you drag it dead center. The stats aren't accurate either. I've win dozens of games, but it still shows I've won none. Fun but frustrating! Please fix!!

Ok but needs improvement

Play cards is difficult, in not place perfect it rejects. Sound? Team support, multiplayer support? And all the above suggestions

Waste of money

This game is total garbage. Cards are played so fast you can barely tell what was led, No multiplayer support, not a fun backalley game at all. I wish I would've thrown a dollar in the trash instead of buying this game.

Needs a lot of improvement.

A good start, but needs more features like team play and also it's very hard to tell which card was played first.

Weak

This is supposed to be back alley but it is like a teaser for the real thing. The game is supposed to start with dealing 13 cards to everyone then 12 etc to 1 card and then back up to 13 This one always does 5 and that's it. Boring boring boring. Along with the same problem others have mentioned. Also, the game will crash and will not allow you to play. Even after you shut it down and start over. You have to delete game entirely and reinstall. This is major and needs to be fixed
