Loved it! – Haunted Legends: Black Hawk Review

This game has really unique puzzles and hops, an interesting story, and a good length. There are skill/arcade games included in the puzzles. And as with all of those types of games, it usually takes a few tries to get it right, so don’t be discouraged. Really unique gameplay! The problem, as always with this developer, is the actual game mechanics. You can quite easily back out of a scene on accident, because if you touch anywhere in the bottom third of the screen that will happen. There is a slight delay for most actions, so if you are trying to back out of a scene, it may seem at first as though it didn’t register, and if you tap again, it will take you back 2 scenes. Also, some touch sensitivity issues, with using inventory items. There are coins to collect in each scene, for renovating your newly bequeathed crumbling castle. Also a morphing object in each scene, sometimes quite difficult to find. All of these locations can be found in the strategy guide. There is a secret Astor sepulcher, at the very end of the bonus game. You can find it to the left of the hawk dude either before you talk to him, or if you choose no to his question. The object you need is to the right, and the Michele Batten notes give the brick order. If you choose yes, the game ends and you can no longer find this room. In conclusion, I really enjoyed this unique game, real rating of 4.5 rounded down to 4 for the clunky mechanics.
