Annotations do not work at all with paid version – PaperShip - Mendeley & Zotero Review

I upgraded to the paid version to unlock annotations. I agreed to the $9.99 charge and was shown a dialog box telling me that the annotations feature is unlocked. I touch the little annotate button and absolutely nothing happens. There is nothing about the error online. All I see online is talk of the app no longer supported. I feel robbed.
