Pay to play – Pathfinder Adventures Review

Literally. The game is interesting if you’re willing to spend upwards of $50 or more, but those just looking for something to scratch the tabletop itch should look elsewhere. The Tutorial and the first three matches are free but everything else needs money. Whether that is characters, coins, or the rest of the storyline. You get a rogue and a cleric to start, but you have to pay for any other characters. I would much rather see a complete game that unlocks over time with a base fee than be teased like this. My inclination is to give it 1 star out of pure frustration, but I think the game could grow on me because what little I saw was kind of interesting so I’m giving it 2.
