Pathfinder Adventures, the digital adaptation of Paizo Inc.'s Pathfinder Adventure Card Game, translates the world's best-selling Pathfinder Roleplaying Game into an entirely new breed of card game, where players cooperatively battle monsters and villains, and acquire new feats, items, weapons and allies.

Role-players will find the game's character development very familiar. Characters have classes such as fighter, wizard, and rogue, as well as numbers that define strength, dexterity, intelligence, etc. You'll improve your character by acquiring new items, allies, spells, and weapons as you explore and overcome challenges; over time, you'll be able to customize your deck to better suit your own individual vision of your character.

The game can be played solo, or with other adventurers using built-in pass-and-play functionality.

Pathfinder Adventures is free to download and play, however, some game items can be purchased for real money. If you don't want to use this feature, please disable in-app purchases in your device's settings.

A network connection is required to earn in game currency during play.

FEATURES:
• Explore the towns, cities, dungeons and landscapes of the Rise of the Runelords campaign, including the fiercely-independent Sandpoint and the goblin-infested isle of Thistletop.
• Every locale has been transformed from a card image to beautifully enhanced and animated backdrops.
• Reactive cut scenes featuring Pathfinder's iconic characters.
• An interactive tutorial ensures the game is easy to learn for new adventurers and veterans of the Pathfinder universe alike.
• No physical card game set-up required. Pathfinder Adventures gets players straight into the action.
• Multiple adventure profiles so that players can experience the campaign using every character.
• Single player and pass-and-play multiplayer gameplay mode.

Disappearing features, disappearing purchases

The game was great before they removed quest mode. Now they want me to pay for an adventure I already purchased.

Update made this game pay to play.

Not a game, this is a demo.

Holy cow, it's good!

This is my new favorite game. I have all the physical cards, but now I can take it with me! Please make more!

Worst iOS app

I have tried to link it to my steam 3 times and it doesn’t work. And there is no store for dlc and character purchases. Should I just stick with cleric and rouge and play the B scenario over and over??????????

Amazing all around.

Apple!!! Not wanting to pay for a full game is not a valid reason to allow a negative review. Come on, of people write glowing reviews and then complain about having to pay real money to get the full game, that should be grounds for a removal. As far as the game goes? It could be clearer when it comes to the rules and why things are happening. If you take enough time to learn it, it’s totally amazing. I hope they make the expansions.

Purchased Adventure Never Unlocked
nolifeonline

I purchased the Hook Mountain Massacre adventure and it never unlocked. I tried again and a message popped up that acknowledged that I had already purchased it and that it would unlock so that it would download. That still hasn’t happened 24 hours later. Thanks for taking my money.

Scratch your pathfinder itch
kaykayelise

I’ve had a hard time getting a group of friends together for a campaign lately and just needed some good tabletop fun. This really scratched the itch for me. The card element takes DMing out of the equation so you can focus on progressing through quests, upgrading your characters stats and building your deck which is kind of like their inventory. It even has pass and play multiplayer!

Really nice game

Edit5: I came back after a year. Most of the horrific game breaking bugs seem to be fixed. However there are still major ones hanging around. For instance, I used strength, a weapon, and an animal with Lini. Then I went to try another combination without the weapon (doing a dex check). The strength spell was permanently attached to the screen until combat was resolved. One of the biggest problems with this version is the price tag on everything. If you want to play the full game, it is around $40 USD. That is completely absurd. There is no way this quality of game is worth $40. Maybe $10 total at this point of its development. Original: But the tutorial lasted forever. I just wanted to play. I didn't care about winning or losing. That tutorial just kept going on and on. Edit: I gave this a second chance. After you get through the horrible tutorial, it is a fantastic game. All they should tell you is that there are reveals, recharges, discards, banishes and buries. That is the only thing that warrants explanation. The rest is easy to pick up. Edit2: The game was fantastic even with lots of bugs. Now, there are just so many bugs, after the update that the game is completely unplayable. I am trapped at a game breaking mission complete screen bug. The card floats off of the screen and I can't tap to accept or move on. Can you just program in an auto-accept for card rewards? Multiple taps to accept a card is unnecessary anyway. Unity is such a buggy engine. I feel bad for Paizo. Edit3: latest update fixed a lot of the bugs. However, I just can't bring myself to get into the game again after the incredibly buggy start/launch. I think this game is great. Hopefully new players will get into it. Edit4: went for another go after this past update. Cards are flying off the screen again...

Pay to play

Literally. The game is interesting if you’re willing to spend upwards of $50 or more, but those just looking for something to scratch the tabletop itch should look elsewhere. The Tutorial and the first three matches are free but everything else needs money. Whether that is characters, coins, or the rest of the storyline. You get a rogue and a cleric to start, but you have to pay for any other characters. I would much rather see a complete game that unlocks over time with a base fee than be teased like this. My inclination is to give it 1 star out of pure frustration, but I think the game could grow on me because what little I saw was kind of interesting so I’m giving it 2.

Very very fatal bug
NatalieLovesYou:)
