Contrary to Decentralization – Monero Wallet by Freewallet Review

Does what they say it does, however recently (9/14-9/19/2018) they shutdown withdrawals and offered no other recourse of getting your funds out of your wallet other than waiting for their system to resume withdrawals! That’s not a how the actual decentralized Monero network works! This wallet requires you to “register” or create an account/new wallet and then you must “trust” they are keeping your info private. What’s worse, they don’t give you the private keys to your own wallet, so that in the event their network or internal systems go down, you’re stuck until they resume functionality. If they provide their customers with their own keys (core to the monero network function) then we can use those keys to circumvent their so-called wallet and use the actual Monero network to transfer the funds in and out. They also have the audacity to use “cold storage” and your privacy as a means to justify them to not provide you with your own private keys nor generate a mnemonic phrase so you can export/ import your wallet elsewhere. Use with caution! Just know that at any given time you might find your funds locked-up without reason indefinitely, and with no other way to move your money into nor out of your wallet if their deposit/withdrawal system fails again. This last time was enough make me use a different wallet!
