Misleading - Not true multiplayer – Thunderdogs Review

If this game was truly multiplayer I’d give it five stars or maybe four (docking one for the absurd VIP pay to win thing they do). But it literally CANNOT be. Don’t believe me? In the middle of a match, exit the game with the home button, wait a few seconds, then bring it back up. You don’t get immediately swarmed, you don’t get kicked, you actually don’t miss any of the action. So, if it wasn’t labeled multiplayer I might have missed it. ...edit: in FACT if you really want to test it, simply turn on Airplane mode in the middle of a match. Literally nothing happens. You can still play, you can respawn... What I don’t like about this AT ALL is that lying about the multiplayer basically means you’re selling people an advertisement machine. I know it’s true for most mobile games but if there’s no server upkeep necessary WHY are you selling people $7 a WEEK ‘access’ to VIP status for what’s a SINGLE PLAYER game? If you’re going to pump people for cash then have the courtesy to work for it. Make it an actual multiplayer game. I don’t like lying devs. It’s a shame too because the graphics and controls are tight as all get out.
