The bad – Pearl's Peril Review

So many good reviews and I agree with them. 3 stars for mind challenging entertainment. Puzzles, hidden object, timed and untimed, social and personal quests. They changed the game in 2018 again to include more time wasting videos. You can play the game without spending real money on Energy, Coins or Game Money, but it requires patience. You may have to wait a few days to advance. You can replay Chapters while waiting. The videos give you extras and speed up progress. If you like social play and have a FB account, this game is a hit on a big scale. The main problem (aside from what others identified about items hidden under the search feature or pause button or too close to the frame top) are the problems that present when linking socially through FB. If there is a FB problem with logging in, you have lost everything. If someone, a friend or family member, uses FB on your device to log in and then you try to play it, the game won't load. When the app first downloads you can open and start privately playing. If you play it privately and then try to connect it to FB, it grabs whatever FB account is open on your device and if it is not your FB account then the game becomes accessible only to whoever had their FB account open. So be very cautious if you share a family computer or device with others who use it to log into FB. I spent $10+ in add-ons only to have it linked to my sister's FB account because she left herself logged into FB on my iPad. I contacted the app Developer but they are not able to reset or relink to my FB. I had to start the game over over. My sister is not interested in playing so my time and money vanished into thin air. Next problem was a cousin became interested in playing with me and created her first FB account to connect with me. She spent $7 over the first 3 days and FB disabled her account for suspicious activity. The game won't even launch if FB disables the account it is tied to. My cousin submitted photo ID's 3 times and it took FB 2-3 days each time to restore it. But the problem continues. I suspect she was overenthusiastic about adding FB friends who Friended her so everyone could advance faster in the game. Don't know and FB won't tell her. FB disabled her account again Sat and she lost the ability to claim her Adventure Club Prize. FB says they are not responsible for FB apps like PP being accessible through FB. And PP states they have no control over FB problems like FB disabling accounts or games being tied to the wrong FB account. Once linked, the app grabs all of your FB friends. I tried disabling the game's access to my FB Friends list and the game won't play. So now, one wrong click, and all of my Friends are pestered by this app. I have to play very cautiously because there are at least 3 areas where the app automatically loads your entire FB Friends list and I have to first click UNCHECK ALL and then recheck the 8 friends who I do connect with in this game. You can play Privately if you NEVER click the FB Login on the opening screen. Any mistaken touch on opening the game and it auto links to FB. Once connected to FB, you can never play the game you have invested in privately again- only socially. So pray it auto links to the correct FB account and that FB never disables that account. The final problem is going between devices. To get full advantage of social play it helps to play on both a computer and an iPad/iPhone. They have slightly different ways to advance in the game. I lent my iPhone to my cousin, she connected my private play PP to her FB account after she opened PP on my iPhone it launched her PP app game. When I next used my phone it still had her PP game and not mine. She had even logged out of her FB on my iPhone Safari tab but the game would not load due to a "connection error". I deleted the PP app, restarted my iPhone and I have tried for over 18 hrs to re-download the PP app to my iPhone. It gets hung up. I contacted PP and they now claim they have no working iPhone version of PP- only the iPad! So why did it play on my iPhone for 3 months and at 6pm yesterday stop??? Well at least I can still play the social on my iPad and computer. But I have lost my private play game (another $8) on my iPhone!!! Still, I enjoy the game. I wish it didn't rely on FB to connect socially but that seems to be the way all games are now created. Ongoing social money makers instead of stand alone fun games I can buy.
