Lost ability to purchase new characters using golden coins – Crossy Road Review

I am addicted to this game however for the past 2 weeks or so I have not been able to purchase any new characters with my coins. I don’t know if that is a bug the developers are working on or if I’m the only one experiencing it, but it has made playing the game pointless. I love this game and so I am gonna give it a chance, but restarting my phone and shutting off the game have not helped. I think I’ll just wait it out, hopefully it is fixed otherwise I will not be playing the game anymore.
