Disappointing – Norwegian iConcierge Review

This app has 2 main features: a daily listing of ship activities and a text messaging service. Both are terrible. The activities list is incomplete. The ship distributes a paper every day with a full list, and the app only ever shows about 1/3 of these. Do not rely on this feature. The text messaging was nice to have, but it was utterly unreliable. Messages were only delivered about 1/2 of the time and when they did actually send, the recipient would never get a notification. He/she must manually open the app to trigger a refresh. This flaw is crippling for a feature that is supposed to replace SMS/iMessage. As terrible as it was, the $10 necessary to use the messaging was worth it. I was able to communicate with my family members when it would have been otherwise impossible, and we were able to coordinate our plans better. A little bit more effort by NCL (uploading all ship activities; fixing the notification refresh issue) would greatly improve the user experience.
