Not only doesn’t work, destroys your child’s device. DO NOT USE! – ScreenLimit Review

I followed all the instructions. Installed app on my device, added children, installed app on kids’ devices, assigned devices to kids and set a time limit. It prompted me to set up MDM device management on their devices. I did it on the first one and it blocked all their apps. It started with my kids’ devices blocked by default. I could not unblock their apps! Toggling the block button would make the apps show up for a split second and go away again! I tried removing MDM from their device, but it just sat there with a spinning circle and never finished. Now the device was stuck with blocked/missing apps. I had to reset the device and uninstall everything. The dive’s apps appeared again, but their folders had all been deleted! I reinstalled everything because I really want this to work. Unfortunately, it does not. Creating a plan is also not explained at all. And with the plan, it doesn’t appear to do anything itself. It doesn’t unblock the device or start the timer once they start using it. The child has to go into the device and manually start/stop it themselves. IT DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY TRACK DEVICE USAGE/SCREEN TIME. It even keeps running the timer when the device is off, which means if they forgot to open the app and hit STOP, the timer keeps going. And, of course, even when they hit START, it doesn’t unblock the apps. Complete, total garbage. Also, opening the app on the child’s device often gives a red progress circle and shows the parental controls (FUNCTIONAL) until it synchronizes and realizes it’s a kid’s device. Also, setting a PIN for a child didn’t work - I set it on the parent device and when I enter the PIN on the child’s device (where it says login or enter PIN), and it says incorrect PIN, even if I manually refresh both devices. The PIN only seems to work when the child Starts/Stoops the timer. Terribly confusing UI. And the messages never worked either. And kids can just delete the app from their phone, even with MDM activated. Worse than bug-ridden and useless, actually dangerous to try using; this should not be sold at all.
