Doesn’t work! The kids devices are not blocked

This app appears to be nothing more than a glorified timer. When my children run out of time on their devices nothing happens on their devices. Maybe I’m missing something but after spending some time trying to figure it out and getting nowhere that alone is reason not to waste your time on this app.
Not only doesn’t work, destroys your child’s device. DO NOT USE!

I followed all the instructions. Installed app on my device, added children, installed app on kids’ devices, assigned devices to kids and set a time limit. It prompted me to set up MDM device management on their devices. I did it on the first one and it blocked all their apps. It started with my kids’ devices blocked by default. I could not unblock their apps! Toggling the block button would make the apps show up for a split second and go away again! I tried removing MDM from their device, but it just sat there with a spinning circle and never finished. Now the device was stuck with blocked/missing apps. I had to reset the device and uninstall everything. The dive’s apps appeared again, but their folders had all been deleted! I reinstalled everything because I really want this to work. Unfortunately, it does not. Creating a plan is also not explained at all. And with the plan, it doesn’t appear to do anything itself. It doesn’t unblock the device or start the timer once they start using it. The child has to go into the device and manually start/stop it themselves. IT DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY TRACK DEVICE USAGE/SCREEN TIME. It even keeps running the timer when the device is off, which means if they forgot to open the app and hit STOP, the timer keeps going. And, of course, even when they hit START, it doesn’t unblock the apps. Complete, total garbage. Also, opening the app on the child’s device often gives a red progress circle and shows the parental controls (FUNCTIONAL) until it synchronizes and realizes it’s a kid’s device. Also, setting a PIN for a child didn’t work - I set it on the parent device and when I enter the PIN on the child’s device (where it says login or enter PIN), and it says incorrect PIN, even if I manually refresh both devices. The PIN only seems to work when the child Starts/Stoops the timer. Terribly confusing UI. And the messages never worked either. And kids can just delete the app from their phone, even with MDM activated. Worse than bug-ridden and useless, actually dangerous to try using; this should not be sold at all.

Haven’t found exactly what I have been looking for yet. This one comes close but not 100%. Don’t like the fact that if my child turns off his device the timer continues to count down. You have to remember to turn off the timer when your done using it. I can see my 7 year old forgetting to turn off the timer and running out of minutes. This will cause an argument over whether she really did turn off her iPad or if she’s just trying to get more time.

This worked for a short time and we found it useful, so we paid for the LIFETIME service plan...a pricey proposition. Fast forward a few weeks and it crashed our son's iPad. We had to do a factory reset and restore from a backup. As soon as ScreenLimit was installed, the entire pad crashed. We repeated this, then contacted 'Customer Support'. They we no help and we did not receive a refund. Pathetic...STAY AWAY!

screenlimit is extremely useful. The timer works very well and does what it says on the tin. I have set the timer for my children and told them to come upstairs when 20 minutes are up. The roars of outrage after 20 minutes were a joy to hear!

We found ScreenLimit very useful. Our 7 year old seems to be more accepting when the time limit has expired, rather than me saying time's up!

Have tried multiple screen time limiting apps and was never happy with the features and functionality until I downloaded ScreenLimit. One of the best features is that device time is shared across devices. So my daughter can use some of her allocated time on one device, then switch to another device to continue using her allocated time. My second favorite feature is that parents can setup ‘Tasks’ so that children can earn additional time by completing chores, brushing teeth, good behavior or whatever you setup. Parental PIN and unique children’s PINs keep settings secure and keeps children from using each other’s time. This app has been great with reducing arguments when it’s ‘device off’ time and has drastically reduced device usage with minimal arguments. Overall, great app and highly recommended!
