Wonderful option, but confusing – GoShare: Deliver, Move, LTL Review

I needed to deliver my deceased father’s furniture to two different family members. All of us are at the age where we’re unable to lift or help load so this was a great option. I ordered two drivers for the first job, but was unclear as to whether I was getting one truck or two when I asked for two movers. I called one of the drivers who signed up, and he assured me that in addition to his cargo van I ordered, which looked nothing like the picture in the app, the other driver would have a truck. I listed all of the items I needed moved when I placed the order, which included a queen sized bed, but when the movers arrived I had a van and an suv to work with. They both admitted there was no way the bed would fit. I didn’t want to send them away and lose the opportunity to move some of the items, so asked them to load as much as they could and deliver. I ended up giving them the wrong address, my bad, so it cost me extra, of course. I ordered another pick up for the rest of the items, to be picked up in about an hour, and to my relief I got two drivers right away who agreed to do the job. This time two trucks showed up and they loaded and made the delivery. I was disappointed that my total for both deliveries was double what I originally thought it would be. I went back into the app and input the same information but asked for the biggest truck with two movers, just to see what the price would have been if we made one trip in a larger vehicle. I felt better to see the estimate was about what I ended up paying. My advice is to call and speak to your delivery people when they sign up and quiz them on their vehicle and make sure they understand what items you need loaded. I believe you can cancel the request at that point if they can’t deliver. Also be warned: the cargo picture on the app might have accurate dimensions, but it’s basically a regular van and does not look like the picture shown. I’ll definitely use this service again and would recommend to others, but feel I had to learn the hard way my first time out because the app wasn’t clear what you get when you ask for two movers.
