Good starting point – Exeq: The Money App Review

i downloaded the app yesterday and so far its really nice! theres definitely some good ideas going into it. i noticed that it was still in beta and now that i know that, it seems obvious. a few ideas to better the app: 1. maybe add a feature to be able to recategorize purchases. example, my $9.99 spotify premium bill goes into the “entertainment” category when it is a bill, not entertainment. maybe like a drag and drop feature for this? tap and hold the card and drag it into the appropriate category. 2. the ability to split your set budget up into categories. maybe instead of just X amount per week, we could split the X amount into so much on entertainment so much on bills so much on groceries. etc. 3. going with the budget, maybe add different time limit options instead of just weekly. i know for me, i get paid biweekly and typically pay all my bills after my first paycheck of the month and a monthly budget would benefit me more than a weekly one. 4. i like how the app splits up your spending into categories, but what if you so added a weekly budget line graph showing when you went over and by how much. in addition you can tap a point on the graph and you can see which categories you spent the most in (or spent over in if idea 2 is in play) so you know where to reduce spending should there be a need overall, the app is good! theres lots of good ideas in play and i think with a few updates, you could be one of the top finance apps on the market.
