Sound Credit Union found a way to give their users a terrifying bad transition experience from their old mobile banking system to the new one, in which poor instructions and poor communication made it completely unclear how to get back in when the system did finally come back up.
The new app is the same as the old one. They put a new UI on that simply makes it look more like an excel spreadsheet.
What’s particularly frustrating is that the beloved text banking is completely gone. I used to immediately receive an alert any time any transaction occurred in any of my accounts. I always knew my balance and when a transaction took place, so I was confident I could stop fraud right away and be aware of my financial situation. With the new mobile banking and this app, notifications are limited and delayed. There are none available at all for the credit card, which was the entire reason I switched to Sound Cu In the first place.
