Can’t play without real money. – Bakery Story 2 Review

Usually when I download a “free to play” game, if I really like it I will make some in app purchases to support the developer, which is exactly what I did after playing this game for like two days. Little did I know that after a while it becomes so impossible to move on, so arbitrarily difficult to complete the tasks without gems, that it’s completely not worth the effort. I don’t recommend it at all. For one, you can’t store appliances, so while you’re waiting for your Togo orders to give you the parts you need (the drop rates of which are completely asinine. I got coins ten orders in a row, and filled two days worth of orders without getting a single blueprint, and considering you can only do the orders every three hours, this means it takes you WEEKS to get enough supplies to make upgrades.) you end up having ovens in your kitchen that are useless, can only make one recipe (which you need to fill a Togo order) taking up space and no ability to get rid of it once you have it. You can’t even sell the appliances back once you have them they take up mandatory space, which is limited because upgrading your bakery takes forever. The gem costs for things are way too high and practically REQUIRE you to spend more and more money to progress. The special guy, Liam, drops notes so infrequently it takes DAYS to get enough for one upgrade. You can’t get rid of stuff you’ve made except with, you guessed it, gems.(unless you want to delete the counter it’s on and lose all those profits.) Basically this game is a huge cash grab, designed to milk money out of kids with access to their parents money, and nothing else. What enjoyment their is to be had is not worth the effort or time. Don’t download this, or any other Storm 8 game as they’re all the same.
