The best note taking app – GoodNotes 4 Review

I have tried most of the notebook and note taking apps on the App Store, but goodnotes finally let me go truly paperless. I’m still on my iPad air1, and the zoom window and a regular stylus is the easiest to use of any app because it doesn’t get in the way of writing at all. In most other apps I haven’t found the zoom window to be helpful, it was more confusing and slowed me down. I’ve tried the adonit Bluetooth stylus with this and it was great until it unfortunately broke, but the others I’ve tried did not work as well. Goodnotes implemented them well but the styli themselves just didn’t do it well. Now I’m using just an ordinary stylus with mesh tip or my thicker Bluetooth stylus with the batteries removed, with matte screen protector and that seems to work best for me. Anyway, the sync works great and I also have it on my Mac so that any changes I make are also reflected on there, then I can print my notes easily at my office (they still need paper copies for records) where we don’t have an AirPrint compatible printer. Importing pdf’s is easy and I mark them up, and I’m also using this to write music charts for wedding gigs and exporting those directly to forscore, so no more charts imported with the camera that wind up looking all sorts of ways. You won’t be sorry if you get this app. Someday I’ll get an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil and having tried a Friend’s setup I already know this works great for goodnotes.
