Message notifications – WhatsApp Messenger Review

It’s frustrating to hide the notification message without hiding who it is from. Hope this is a bug that will be fixed in the next update. I see other similar reviews of frustration, so it’s no an uncommon practice of hiding message content while still revealing sender identity.
