Easy to play, hard to master – Puzzle & Dragons (English) Review

I’ve been playing this game since it came out, almost 5 years ago. I’ve seen it evolve from a ‘nice match3 with a twist’ to what it is now. You will not find a game anywhere with this amount of content, and although their UI hasn’t changed and feels somewhat dated by today’s standards, the rest is just amazing. They have been constantly adding not only content, but new mechanics to keep the gameplay new and fresh. The amount of depth in this game, despite the simplicity of its gameplay, is just astounding. Perfect example you don’t need over complicated mechanics to have great depth. To me PAD is the perfect example of great monetization and core loop. Even though you can spend tons of money in it, they keep giving rewards daily you can save up, so it doesn’t feel greedy at all. You can make good teams and clear 90% of content without spending anything. Many of the Ranking dungeons where you compete with other players are with fixed teams so only skill counts, and they added multiplayer with less cost and higher chance to clear dungeons. They have added content that is just impossible unless you have a crazy good team and godlike skills, but that’s why they added, to keep people interested even at those insane levels. But people will still complain that it’s unfair and not balanced, and it’s true. It’s not fair some people is just better at it. For regular mortals, the amount of content will keep you busy, literally for months and years. Try the game!
