Only for those with much patience – The Rivers of Alice - Graphic delight with OST Vetusta Morla Review

The artwork and music are lovely. And the story is whimsical...although thin. The level of puzzle difficulty is mixed; you do have a way to get hints but some are vague and others just give you the solution outright. And be prepared to do some meandering in order to get hints. The game actually warns you about being “lazy” which I thought hilarious. I don’t think not wanting to wander through the same virtual landscapes over and over and over and over and over again - with no change in scenery or story whatsoever - equates to laziness. My feelings about this game are mixed. If I hadn’t liked the art and music so much I probably wouldn’t have finished. But the game is short and if you settle into treating this as a mindless, relaxing exercise, the repetitiveness isn’t that bad. I think it grew on me. I’m glad I played it. For puzzle gamers who really enjoy artwork and music in their games, I would recommend trying this out. It’s worth having in your collection.
