Classic SRPG, Good, lengthy story Arc – THE ALCHEMIST CODE Review

Don’t believe the claims about the story being average or one-sided. Story - 5: Two friends who wield the greatest power, alchemy, to produce the same peace by different means. Set in a world similar to Plato’s Republic, there is much social commentary on the use of force, vengeance, realistic means to achieve peace. Even Fannon’s treatise comes into the discussion for a bit. Candid, meaningful conversations. Characters - 4: Not a lot of characters yet...which is good!! Every character has their own voice with a lot of extra sayings that they say beyond simple fight sounds. Extra characters can have side stories that are unlocked, which makes the quest to gain new ones meaningful. Customizations are available, but not overblown to pay to play nor too complicated. Gameplay - 5: similar to Fire Emblem in play style, the Alchemist has a refreshing variance in character play styles that favors different levels of play. For example, guns, ballistic missiles, and arrows all have different attack vectors and weaknesses, and abilities are reflective of this. Overall - 4.7: Great game, fun game-play, try it out!
