New version hangs on camera section – Paintkeep Painting Review

I loved this app but recently the app just freezes and hard hangs if you click the camera icon. Other sections work fine. Uninstalled and reinstalled and was able to access the camera section ONCE (but not picture import) before it locked up again. Repros 100 percent of the time. Bummer. Here's hoping for a fix!
