Not real-time info – SolarEdge Monitoring Review

The information it gives doesn’t seem to be real-time. I also don’t like that I have to connect to a server in some other state or country to get the information from my solar system on my roof. Why can’t it connect to the inverter? What happens if the internet connection goes down? My solar system is still working, so why shouldn’t I be able to get system information from it? What happens if SolarEdge goes out of business? Who do I get my system from then? Is this necessarily a problem with the app? No, but they could program it to connect to the inverter instead of their server, which would alleviate all of those issues.
