What problem is this solving? – Powermat Review
When creating an app, developers should really be asked, what problem is this solving that hasn’t already been solved in a better way?
I spotted this in Vapiano today and thought I’d give it a try. 10 minutes of installing an unfunctional app, and fiddling to get the ‘charging ring’ to sit in the (very) exact place and all I’d achieved was to expend 5% battery (and several calories) to get 3% charge back.
Given that this thing assumedly has a power source, why on earth wouldn’t a store just have regular charging cables. That way we wouldn’t need to a) download an app, b) sit through buggy and unfunctional adverts, c) rest our phone in a very specific place on the table and not bump the table/phone at any point, d) waste a lot of time for a slow charge.
Best of luck to the developers, but at the moment this app/charger is completely pointless and probably counter productive.
