Please hire me to proofread... – Deep Town: Mining Idle Games Review

After playing for about a week, this game is very addicting. However, it’s easy to lose immersion when coming across countless spelling/grammar errors. Like every single quest uses words incorrectly and it’s soooooo annoying. The sentence structure is also written poorly, like someone from a different country used a translator and copy/pasted the text. A few times I’ve even had the quest text written out in the game code. These things may sound small, but it really shows that things like this haven’t been cleaned up a year after release. Another thing that is annoying is that the rain sound is a 3 second sound byte that replays over and over. If you are above ground for 2 or more minutes, it is very noticeable. I also think the UI is very unorganized. When you open your items menu, it should be tabbed and let you switch between categories, instead of showing or hiding them. I am level 160 now and new items are coming all the time. I think a good set up would be to have a tab for Ore, Bars, Raw Jewels, Polished Jewels, Crafted Material, and Organic Material. This is pretty much what I have unlocked now so I’m sure there would be more, but I’d love to be able to switch between these. Lastly, I know this has been brought up, but offline mining is slowed down by 8x. This forces you to leave your phone screen on all day with the game open, unless you want to wait 8 times as long to get things done. I’d rather things be 8 times harder to obtain so I could leave my phone off overnight. That was the bad, but the good is that this game has a lot of potential. I’d like to see these things cleaned up and it would be an easy 5 Star. I’ll keep playing because all the ore/gems/building, etc. is very rewarding!
