Promising but Unusable – Ecoute Review

I really wanted to like this app because I can’t stand the bloatware that the official Apple music app has become. However, I have to find a music app other than Ecoute because this app is way too sluggish. For instance, when I press the next button to advance songs, there is a delay of several seconds until the next song starts. Sometimes I’ll think my button press wasn’t recognized so I’ll repress the button, but then the next song will play for a second and then advance again. Very irritating. I have an iPhone 6 plus so my hardware isn’t that old. Also, the Apple music app doesn’t display the same sluggishness. My other big complaint with Ecoute is the apparent inability to create and save playlists.
