Amazing features, but falls short where it counts – Notes Plus Review

I read about this app when researching various note taking options. So far, I’ve been using pdf expert, notability, GoodNotes, margin note, liquid text, PowerPoint, and apple notes at different times for different things as they all have their own strengths. I finally read somewhere that this app was notability and goodnotes in one. From a feature standpoint, this app is incredible. There are more useful features than any other program out there. In that sense it really is an all in one. The problem is in the infrastructure itself. With an Apple Pencil, it is unusable if you need to write very very quickly. (Such as take notes in a pathology or virology lecture). It requires a relaxed and slow pace, and was unable to perform the way I need it to. So then I tried to use it as a place to put my diagrams and pre-written notes. Well, that was also an issue. Unfortunately the drag-drop feature has a good chance of freezing the iPad and losing work. Alright, so then just for reading PDFs - since the user interface really is beautiful and well thought out. Well, maybe with small documents. Once a 170 page Lecture is fed in, it drags the whole iPad down with it. Notes plus unfortunately feels outdated and bogged down. It’s such a great looking program. It would be nice to see it lose some weight and gain some muscle. Just as a comparison, Good notes slightly suffers from the sluggishness, but nowhere near this badly. Noteability, however, is very very fast and lightweight, and can handle the type of tasks needed for content heavy topics. It’s a powerhouse, and I was hoping notesplus would be too.
