B&N does not want apps – Barnes & Noble – shop books Review

Looks like B&N think that 2018 still doesn’t warrant too much dedication to online availability and presence for their customers. The app, even though it is much needed for B&N Membership members since they can only get discounted prices online, is of no productive use since (1) it logs you out every single time you close the app, (2) if you check your order shipping status by tapping the link provided, it opens within the app the usps site and then you cannot go back to the B&N app page, therefore forcing you to close and re-open the app and re-enter you email and password, a real problem when you have multiple orders. Finally (3) no maintenance to the app to improve it. Oh, and best of all, (4) if you tap the ‘App Support’ link for this app within the AppStore, it takes you nowhere, only to the main mobile version website of B&N, so no help from them either. I love buying book, and not the electronic format, and spend a lot of my time and money in B&N. If they want to compete with Amazon and not go obsolete like Borders, they need to get their business together when it comes to mobile access for their customer, which is all that its about nowadays.
