Great, could use more content – Game Dev Tycoon Review

First, let me say that this game is phenomenal. The gameplay is easy to learn, yet hard to master, and it makes you appreciate the time and effort real gaming companies pit into each product they produce. Now, in regards to the content, here’s what I think could add more to the game later on: -Bi-Monthly gaming news updates: I imagine that this would be a massive undertaking for Greenheart Games, but if you were to, say, add in an occasional piece of gaming news every once in a while (along the lines of Battlefront 2’s debacle or the passing of a developer), it could make the game feel more immersive, as if you were truly playing in the modern era of game development. -Branching stories: What would happen if you were the company who teamed up with Vonny to create the Play System? Or if you developed motion controls before Ninvendo developed the Nuu? It would probably have to involve a lot of guesswork, but what if your company was more involved in the gaming industry more than it already was? -Microtransactions: BEFORE YOU GO OFF THE DEEP END, please know that I’m not requesting that in-app purchases be used for the gameplay. Rather, have the option to implement microtransactions within the games the player develops (or to allow the player to have more involvement in the pricing system for the games), and to have that affect things like Public Reception of things of that nature. Speaking of which... -Public Reception: I know that we have a system that allows the player to develop a large fanbase of loyal customers, but what do others think of your company? Do they see it as a bastion of moral gaming, developing each game with as much care as Michaelangelo in his carving of the Statue of David or his painting of the Sistine Chapel? Or do they see it as a greedy monopolist, caring far more about profits and ways to manipulate its fanbase to obtain more power than crafting games that would make them household names? -Different Approaches: What if you wanted to primarily focus on your company being a game publisher, allowing other creators to flourish with your aid? Or to be a hardware developer, focusing on pushing innovation and breaking beyond the limits of modern gaming? I understand that changes like this would be immensely difficult to implement into the current game, but I just wanted to throw my own two cents in on how the game could be further improved.
